About The Position

As a Clinician, your role is vital in supporting the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) team and ensuring the safety, effectiveness, and efficiency of client care while striving for the highest quality standards. All clinicians strive to get our clients the most out of their treatment. You will assist with specific departmental tasks, communication, conflict resolution, critical thinking, and effective time management. Collaboration with the team is essential for maintaining treatment fidelity, adhering to company policies, and ensuring client satisfaction. The clinician models leadership welcomes feedback, actively seeks to learn specialized treatments, and takes the initiative.

Requirements

  • Licensed Therapist Required: You must be a licensed therapist to qualify for this position
  • Evening Hours: The position requires evenings. In-Person, Monday to Friday from 11:00 am - 8:00 pm.
  • Master's degree or higher in social work, clinical mental health counseling, marriage and family therapy, Pd.D., Psy.D.
  • Current and unrestricted state licensure or intern number
  • Professional presentation, excellent punctuality, and exceptional attendance.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, problem-solving, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a changing work environment and demonstrate flexibility.
  • Proficiency in accurate and efficient electronic data entry and computer software.
  • Capable of meeting the physical demands of the job, including prolonged sitting, bending, lifting, and walking.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years experience in a mental health position.
  • Experience with OCD and anxiety.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate sessions, and groups and mentor Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs).
  • Consistently address client motivation and adherence to the recommendation of length of stay.
  • Create individual intervention strategies to ensure the clinically indicated length of stay and adherence to 100% attendance policy.
  • Report motivation and barriers in treatment team meetings and make an improvement plan.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to hold boundaries with clients and keep them on track with the OCD and Anxiety program design.
  • Provide validation and a supportive environment for clients, motivating them to work through distress and eliminate neutralizing behaviors through clinical interactions and skills development.
  • Maintain a minimum flexible caseload of 24-36 clients based on facility needs (adjusted for PT staff).
  • Engage in 75-80% of hours being face-to-face client interactions, including new starts, family sessions, groups (25% of hours), and overseeing treatment on the floor with BHTs.
  • Maintain comprehensive written documentation at the time of service such as progress and group therapy notes, ensuring high client satisfaction, and managing potential grievances.
  • Be prepared to explain the clinical rationale verbally, using clear and concise language to support the utilization management of each client and address any questions or concerns the insurance provider may have.
  • Assume a supervisory role in specific situations, such as intern supervision and BHT-run groups.
  • Create 3 SMART goals each quarter with the Program Director (APD) to improve your skills as a clinician.
  • Foster a positive work environment by actively supporting teamwork, encouraging open communication, and modeling a collaborative and respectful approach to interactions with colleagues and team members.
  • Supported and modeled OCD Anxiety Centers business processes and mastered de-escalation techniques and crisis planning.
  • Adhere strictly to company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to hold exposure-focused sessions with clients and work with clients to create exposure lists
  • Ability to lead Exposure creation, Exposure skills practice, Exposure Family Skills, and Progress groups
  • Ability to complete a Behavioral Health Assessment upon admission
  • Ability to create a treatment plan with clients
  • Ability to document clearly and efficiently
  • Ability to complete suicide assessments and monitor risk.
  • Ability to present and manage cases knowledgeably and professionally to obtain a clinically indicated length of stay that allows enough time for clients to make sufficient gains and complete the program.
