How You Care for Our Patients As a Clinician III: You will be responsible for maintaining an active caseload providing individual, family, and group counseling along with case management. Frequency of sessions based on clinical need and assigned levels of care. The Clinician III caseload reflects a more clinically complex case mix. Caseload will vary dependent upon business needs, number of clinical supervisees, and other assigned duties. You will Complete psychosocial assessments, quarterly treatment plans, periodic assessments, progress notes, discharge summaries and other related documentation as required within established timeframes. Progress notes are submitted daily for billing. You will provide crisis assessments and management in consultation with supervisor. You will demonstrate competence/expertise in treatment of certain age groups and/or diagnostic categories. Able to work independently clinically. You will be responsible for tracking patient compliance with program requirements and issues reminders and treatment notices as clinically indicated. Facilitates and/or attends appeal hearings. You will role models professional relationships and boundaries with patients, colleagues and the community. Bilingual employees are responsible for providing bilingual clinical services and assisting with interpreting when needed. You will maintain independent licensure by completing required continuing education credits. Meet credentialing requirements for third party payers. You will serve as a preceptor to colleagues and interns for the purpose of training and orientation. Provide consultation on cases to colleagues as appropriate. Provide training for program staff on selected topics as assigned by Manager and/or Supervisor. Provide clinical supervision for colleagues seeking licensure. You will attend all team and department meetings, direct supervision sessions of their own work with Supervisor, and staff education/trainings. Maintain required productivity level for Clinician III. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Masters degree in social work, psychology, mental health counseling or related clinical field.
  • Must have LMHC with 3 years experience post licensure; or an LICSW.
  • Requires two (2) years related experience in mental health and substance use settings with a minimum of one (1) year of substance use disorder experience.
  • Requires previous supervisory experience of staff.
  • The successful candidate will have a solid clinical knowledge base of theoretical approaches and interventions to meet the needs of patients diagnosed with Substance Use Disorder.
  • Must have some proficiency in Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or other specialized treatment approaches.
  • Requires excellent organization, time management, communication, leadership and documentation skills.
  • Bilingual staff may require successful completion of a language competency exam prior to beginning employment.
  • Requires competent computer skills with the ability to document in the electronic medical record.
