About The Position

When a patient goes under anesthesia for a complex spinal or neurological procedure, they place extraordinary trust in the hands around them. As an IOM Technologist at MPOWERHealth, you are a critical part of that circle of care — monitoring the patient's brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves in real time, ready to act the moment something needs attention. Requirements

  • CNIM certified or CNIM-eligible
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field
  • Minimum 1 year of IONM experience
  • Strong foundation in neuroanatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology
  • AHA CPR certified | Valid Driver's License
  • A communicator and a collaborator — equally comfortable working independently or as part of a surgical team

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in neuroscience or a related field
  • Experience with advanced neuromonitoring modalities

Responsibilities

  • Meet with patients, review their history, and explain what neuromonitoring means for their safety.
  • Continuously reading electrophysiological data, spotting early warning signs, and alerting the surgical team in real time when it matters most.
  • Work side-by-side with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff.
  • Interpret complex waveforms, correlate findings with surgical events, and document everything with precision.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
