FTE: 1.0, Shift: Day, Schedule: 8 hour shifts Position Summary The Involuntary Treatment (IT) Court Facilitator works in collaboration with physicians and nursing staff to perform clinical assessments and evaluations of patients admitted on a civil commitment system-wide for involuntary detention to a psychiatric facility. The IT Court Facilitator provides testimony and writes petitions recommending Restrictive Treatment for patients admitted on: initial detention orders and revocations of restrictive orders in compliance with the King County Superior Court rules.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work or Nursing required
  • WA State Psychologist License
  • A Mental Health Professional as defined within HB 1724 one of these higher credentials are held : Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), SW Independent Clinical Lic (LICSW)
  • Minimum five (5) years recent experience working with acutely ill psychiatric patients specifically involving evaluation of psychiatric safety, level of function, psychiatric diagnoses and medications
  • Minimum three (3) years recent experience working in a hospital setting
  • Driver License/Abstract
  • BLS - Basic Life Support (includes RQI) - American Heart Association or American Red Cross
