The Investment Reporting Specialist plays a critical role in supporting and enhancing the investment reporting function. This position is responsible for delivering accurate and timely investment data and analytics to internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, fund boards, and clients. This hybrid position will be based out of the Kansas City, MO office and is not eligible for visa sponsorship; applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Management Information Systems (MIS), Economics, Accounting, or related field.
  • Proven problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify and correct data anomalies.
  • Proficiency with Excel, including basic formulas, data formatting, and analysis.
  • Technically adept with automated systems and eager to learn new technology.
  • Self-starter who shows initiative in their individual tasks but still works in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree or enrollment in MBA or CFA designation.
  • Knowledge of the investment industry, financial markets, economics, and finance.
  • Experience with reporting tools.
  • Operating knowledge of relational databases, technology, and concepts.
  • Knowledge of AWS (Amazon Web Services) tools Glue, Brew, Athena, and S3.

Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation and delivery of standard and customized investment reports, including portfolio and benchmark compositions, characteristics, and attribution analyses.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of investment data by performing advanced analytical reviews and resolving data inconsistencies.
  • Design and implement creative reporting solutions using enterprise systems such as FactSet.
  • Build subject matter knowledge in technical performance concepts and attribution models, applying that understanding to reporting work.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and meet enterprise-wide and client-specific reporting requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with data security protocols and licensing agreements for proprietary and benchmark data.
  • Contribute to process improvement projects to enhance reporting efficiency and data quality.
  • Drive execution of initiatives and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Identify and prepare for emerging risks affecting reporting processes and data integrity.
