Role Summary The primary role of the Investment Director is to serve as a member of the Global Investment Solutions Portfolio Management team, supporting our growing suite of investment solutions for the wealth management channel. The strategies supported will include private markets interval funds and model portfolio solutions. This role is client-facing and commercially oriented, focused on articulating portfolio strategy and providing leverage to portfolio managers by managing client engagement with distribution teams, investment insights, and internal coordination. The role requires a mix of technical investment knowledge about private markets and asset allocation model portfolios, strong communication skills, and the ability to present complex concepts in a digestible way for different audiences. The role will sit within the Global Investment Solutions Americas team within the Global Multi-Asset Investment division.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required AND 7+ years of relevant investment experience, with a focus on private market or multi-asset strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and/or contribute to client engagements, internal alignment and investment design of public-private investment solutions and model portfolio solutions for wealth management channel.
  • Act as a primary client touchpoint, for example attend client and wholesaler meetings, present portfolio rationale and positioning, and represent PM views clearly and consistently in sales calls and client forums.
  • Partner closely with portfolio managers to develop and translate investment insights into clear, compelling communications, and liaise with various stakeholders such as Marketing, Distribution, Product, Legal and Compliance teams on content creation and delivery, e.g., quarterly commentaries, presentation materials, performance narratives, whitepapers and other thought leadership.
  • Provide domain knowledge and expertise across the alternatives investment landscape, including private equity, private credit, private infrastructure, and private real estate.
  • Act as an internal product advocate, educating sales and relationship management teams on portfolio strategy, structures (e.g., private markets interval fund vehicles and evergreen strategies), liquidity features, and competitive positioning.
  • Triage and respond to client and sales team inquiries, managing follow-up items and ensuring timely, accurate communication on portfolio positioning, performance drivers, and product mechanics.
  • Lead and coordinate responses to RFPs and due diligence questionnaires, synthesizing input from various stakeholders to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance of all materials.
  • Support and/or lead the creation of materials, analysis, studies, proposals, etc. for GIS-NA managed investment solutions.
  • Partner with distribution teams, including traveling with sales professionals to support client meetings, platform reviews, and fundraising efforts.
  • Gather market intelligence and client feedback to inform product development, positioning, and messaging refinement.
  • Build a pipeline of additional opportunities, including custom model portfolio opportunities, with USI by proactively working to promote capabilities internally.
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for custom model portfolios ongoing service.
  • Ensure timely and complete communication of white-labeled materials around model portfolio rebalances.
