Citigroup Global Markets Inc. seeks an Investment Banking Senior Associate for its New York, New York location. Duties: Evaluate operations, business plans, and financial and economic forecasts to produce strategic and financial analyses relating to the execution of mergers and acquisitions (M&A), leveraged buyouts, and debt and equity financing. Assist senior professionals in sourcing new clients. Review and assess detailed financial statements, related reports, and drafts to prepare financial documentation relating to a range of sophisticated and complex investment banking transactions involving numerous parties. Prepare and develop management discussion materials, offering memoranda and new business presentations detailing industry trends, business strategy, and corporate strategic options. Analyze potential regulatory risks, identify instances of non-compliance & reputation issues, and evaluate the effectiveness of existing governance structures that may impact transaction process or approval. Manage internal governance, regulatory, and compliance process for M&A and financing transactions. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols. Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field and 2 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Associate, Associate Manager, or related position performing financial and economic analysis in support of M&A, leveraged buyouts, and debt and equity financing. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in the above fields and 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the above positions. Full span of experience must include: Private equity transactions; Capital raising transactions; Documentation of live transactions; Quantitative analysis of corporate financial statements and accounting policies; Analyses of economic variables impacting corporate business cycle; Business strategy and positioning for business transactions; Financial risk management; Advising on business due diligence in regulatory compliance; Client and business development; Preparations of marketing materials; Presentation Development, synthesizing complex financial information and strategic insights into clear, actionable recommendations; and Evaluation of corporate transactions and structures to support valuation analysis.
