Deutsche Bank's Investment Banking & Capital Markets business offers a full spectrum of investment banking products and services to large-cap and mid-cap corporates and financial sponsors. This includes comprehensive financial advisory and capital raising services, such as mergers & acquisitions (M&A), supported by a robust global debt and equity capital markets platform. The bank's global presence facilitates large, multi-dimensional cross-border, and regional transactions. Deutsche Bank is currently undergoing a growth phase, with a new corporate strategy released in November 2025, emphasizing continued strength and investment in its Investment Banking & Capital Markets division. As part of this strategy and the 2028 plan, the Strategic Equity Transactions Group (SETG) is a key area for expansion. SETG is responsible for structuring, originating, and executing bespoke equity transactions for corporations, financial institutions (including private equity firms), and family offices. The team operates on the private side of Capital Markets, collaborating with client coverage teams in Investment Banking and other product teams like Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets, and Leveraged Finance. Examples of products and transactions handled by SETG include convertible securities underwriting, equity-linked financings such as margin lending and variable prepaid forwards, and hedging, monetization, or stake accumulation strategies via corporate equity derivatives.
