About The Position

The Chief Investment Office (CIO) is responsible for portfolio construction and asset/liability management on behalf of Prudential’s insurance businesses. The Quantitative Analysis team within CIO plays a critical role in supporting Asset-Liability Management (ALM) and Capital Markets Hedging activities. As a member of this team, you will work in a fast-paced environment, directly supporting Traders and Portfolio Managers with quantitative analysis and model implementation. This position follows a hybrid work arrangement, requiring three days per week in the office.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to independently lead quantitative strategy and analysis initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of derivative pricing theory and practice.
  • Proficiency in Python development within collaborative environments; experience with PyTorch or parallel computation frameworks is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in financial engineering, mathematics, computer science, statistics, or other quantitative fields; advanced degrees or professional certifications are a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Matlab, C++, or C# is a plus but not required.
  • Professional or academic experience in rates or equity derivatives modeling preferred.
  • Knowledge of variable and fixed indexed annuities desirable; familiarity with asset classes such as fixed income, equities, credit, and foreign exchange is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior team members to implement pricing, risk, P&L, and attribution methodologies.
  • Develop and implement interest rate, equity, credit, foreign exchange, and inflation models for valuation of domestic and international products and ALM solutions.
  • Support research and analysis related to hedging strategy implementation.
  • Partner with CIO’s technology team to build market data and trade databases, automate data feeds, and streamline processes.
