About The Position
We are looking for an experienced investment accountant for our leading life insurance client on a project basis. This role is fully remote and is expected to complete in 12 months.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, or other related fields
- 5+ years of relevant investment accounting experience in the insurance industry
- Qualified applicants must reside in the continental U.S.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical accounting and reporting expertise across a broad range of investment assets, ensuring compliance with US GAAP & STAT and advising on complex transactions
- Prepare, review, and present technical memos and documentation related to accounting treatments and transactions
- Assist financial and other reporting with respect to statutory filings
