As an Investigation Technician, you play a critical role in the production process. Rework Technicians are skilled workers who repair, install, replace, and maintain equipment and products. Your sole purpose is to eliminate all downtime on assembly lines related to repairs of current products. The ability to quickly diagnose and repair non-conforming components will enable production to continue producing uninterrupted. ZIEHL-ABEGG is looking for a high energy and results-oriented Senior Service Administrator who can be a strong contributor to our heavily expanding company. The Senior Service Administrator will be responsible for ensuring optimum customer service to all customers. Investigation Technician Your main responsibilities will be:

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or coursework in quality control are a plus.
  • Capability to read blueprints and electrical diagrams.
  • Previous experience in production/quality assurance or a related field preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong ability to spot defects and inconsistencies.
  • Familiarity with quality control tools and methodologies such as calipers, micrometers, 5S, and ISO
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate inspection results and quality concerns clearly.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to contribute to a positive and cooperative work environment

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose problems: using diagnostic tools to identify issues.
  • Perform repairs: Fixing broken or defective products, often by replacing parts.
  • Utilize testing equipment and tools to ensure products meet specified quality standards.
  • Identify and document any defects, deviations, or non-conformities.
  • Ensuring component inventory is adjusted accordingly in Pro-Alpha.
  • Record results accurately and maintain detailed logs.
  • Create reports summarizing repair findings and communicate them to relevant personnel.
  • Work closely with production teams to address current issues and resolve them quickly.
  • Communicate with supervisors, managers, and quality assurance team members to provide feedback on product quality.
  • Stay informed about and adhere to established quality control standards and procedures.
  • Monitor compliance with quality specifications and requirements.
  • Participate in problem-solving initiatives to enhance overall product quality.
  • Provide training and guidance to production line operators on quality issues and what to look out for.
  • Support the development of a quality-conscious culture within the organization.
  • Maintain ISO compliance standard.
  • Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting at times.
  • Red flag and hold non-conforming product to prevent it from leaving production.
  • Communicate issues on the line to Supervisor, Production Manager, QA Technicians and Quality Manager.
  • Other duties as assigned.
