About The Position

This position is in the Florida Elections Commission in Tallahassee, Florida

Requirements

• Five (5) years of relevant experience (experience in law enforcement, civil investigations, fraud or white-collar investigations, any financial-related investigations or analysis, general research and reporting, banking, accountancy, paralegal, or government agency experience reviewing and analyzing written consumer complaints); or
• An Associate degree (or 60+ semester hours of college) and 3 years of relevant experience as described above; or
• A Bachelor degree (or 120+ semester hours of college) and 1 year of relevant experience as described above.

Nice To Haves

• Preference will be given to applicants with experience in Florida's election laws and reviewing bank records and financial reports.

Responsibilities

• Conducts thorough investigations of alleged violations of Chapter 104, Section 105.071, and Chapter 106, Florida Statutes.
• Interviews witnesses, collects and examines records for evidentiary value, and prepares reports of investigations which are accurate and concise.
• Drafts investigative plans for all cases assigned for investigation.
• Processes auto-fine case appeals to the Florida Elections Commission
• Attends meetings of the Florida Elections Commission, court hearings, and depositions throughout the State of Florida; gives testimony when needed. Assists staff attorneys with such proceedings as required.
• Performs other duties as required.
