This role is responsible for performing the physical or administrative tasks supporting the shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies and equipment, rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessary. The coordinator determines routing and arrangements for shipments, considering factors such as nature of items, method of handling, size, urgency, and cost.

Requirements

  • Requires a High School Diploma and minimum of 4 year of prior relevant experience or 2 years post- Secondary /Associates Degree with 0 to 4 years of prior related experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Share Point, etc.)
  • Warehousing, receiving, shipping and forklift experience.
  • Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.
  • Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures.
  • Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form.
  • Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know.
  • Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval.
  • All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.
  • Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Scheduling of physical counts to ensure 95% inventory accuracy is met and maintained.
  • Coordinates with Functional Departments (PMO, Planning, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance) prioritizing and ensuring all requirements are met.
  • Maintain shelf-life material and all auditable records.
  • Verifies quantity, quality, and conformance of materials to stated identifications.
  • Lifts heavy items and operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.
  • Knowledge of material handling procedures and Environmental Health and Safety requirements.
  • To achieve expected kitting and fulfillment goals.
  • Prepares and schedules material ready for scrap disposition.
  • Assesses most economical and efficient common or contract carrier, to transport shipments.
  • Calculates and records storage, redelivery, and other applicable charges.
  • May reroute urgent shipments of an urgent nature or arrange for special delivery at destination.
  • Will be required to make decisions when the Group Lead in not available.
