About The Position

Premium Guard, Inc. is a privately held company, established in 1996. We are a leading supplier of private label solutions in the automotive aftermarket. Our focus is on designing, manufacturing and distributing products for automotive, diesel, power-sports and specialty filter markets. Our supply chain network now branches across the Pacific and into North America. Premium Guard Inc is hiring a Distribution Center Inventory Operations Supervisor for Weirton, West Virginia. This is a Federal Trade Zone site. The person in this role will report to the Operations Manager and partner on key initiatives and lead a team of distribution center associates. Ideal candidates will bring the following qualities: experience with trade compliance and Inventory Control, preferably regarding Foreign Trade Zones, strong commitment to cross-collaboration, and customer focus to enable business solutions. Strong people management and leadership skills are also essential.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of inventory experience in DC or manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience
  • Analytical, organized, detail-oriented, professional.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Fast paced aptitude
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Ability to train and provide instructions on inventory processes.
  • Accurate data entry
  • Exceptional Microsoft Excel & email abilities.
  • Proven satisfactory leadership, organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to access, input and analyze computer data and reports.
  • MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word, and MS.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems and RF Equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Compiling reference data from a variety of sources.
  • Communicating with internal staff and vendors when needed.
  • Maintaining documents, files and records; ensuring the availability of documentation and compliance with established policies.
  • Inventory replenishment for various locations
  • Data entry: adjustments, transfers, receipts, etc.
  • Reviewing documents and data to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Maintains records and follow up on files of purchases, shipments and related matters
  • Work with management to observe disciplinary matters, attendance, and performance of direct reports
  • Communicate position expectations and train employees
  • Define staffing needs and allocate workload
  • Implement new methods, processes, and improvements
  • Consult and organize activities with other teams and departments
  • Enforce safety standards and compliance
  • Ultimately oversee a team of 10 or more employees
  • Assign teams and allocate work fairly and in a way that best uses employees’ skills
