A Day in the Life of a Warehouse Associate What You'll Do As an Inventory Specialist you will assist operations management by ensuring the ongoing accuracy of the Viking Electric inventory system and reconciling inventory variances in a proper manner.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years distribution or warehouse operations, two years of cycle counting, inventory reconciliation and automated systems plus one-year operating material handling equipment.
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs. regularly, or up to 75 lbs. with the assistance of supportive equipment or team members
  • Ability to stand and walk for much of your shift
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Willingness to learn how to operate equipment like a forklift and handheld scanning device (we provide training)
  • Ability to work in various temperatures within our warehouse
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without VISA sponsorship now or in the future

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily reconciliation of inventory shortages found during picking on previous shifts.
  • Perform daily cycle counting.
  • Work with sales and counter sales to process returns from customers. Engage with management to identify efficiency opportunities.
  • Process receipts of non-stock material to include cross docking and/or create new bin locations for new stock.
  • Coordinate weekly bin maintenance mechanics, communicating the results and concerns to shift managers.
  • Work with ERP specialist, project staging specialist and branch management to pick, organize, and process RMA/RGA material.
