About The Position

As an Inventory Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory in the operating system through the completion of daily tasks. In addition, you will assist in other distribution center (DC) duties as needed.

Requirements

  • High School education or equivalent certification is required.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to walk, stand, bend, lift and move for extended periods to complete everyday tasks.
  • Ability to use or willingness to learn general warehouse equipment such as carts, ladders, and lift trucks to complete everyday tasks.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting distribution standards.
  • Motivated, hard-working and dependable; attendance and punctuality are very important.
  • Able to work the shift hours M-F 7:30am-4:00pm, plus occasional overtime.
  • Able to perform repetitive and manual tasks on a consistent basis.
  • Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
  • Basic understanding of and willingness to use computers.
  • Acceptable proficiency in basic math and problem solving.
  • Ability and willingness to learn new tasks.
  • Commitment to team environment and willingness to complete all tasks as assigned

Responsibilities

  • Execute daily transactions such as receipts, cycle counts, inventory transfers and restocking in the operating system to ensure the desired level of inventory accuracy.
  • Research and report on any signification inventory discrepancies as directed by the DC Manager.
  • General receiving duties such as unloading trucks, count verification and inspection.
  • Maintain a clean and efficient work area in effort to keep products and merchandise clean and help prevent work related injuries.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments in the distribution center to ensure that all daily responsibilities are fulfilled.
  • Serve as a backup for all other distribution center duties.
  • All other duties as assigned by DC Manager or Lead Inventory Specialist.

  • Conducts self in a manner consistent with Convivial Brands’ Core Values at all times.
  • Maintains a positive and respectful attitude with all contacts.
  • Consistently reports to work on time and prepared to perform the duties of the position.
