In addition to our Emergency Services, we also provide Design and Build Services, Construction Management, and Preventative/Reactive/Predictive Maintenance Programs. POSITION OVERVIEW: The Inventory / Purchasing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing inventory control and parts procurement in support of the service, construction and environmental divisions. This role ensures the timely ordering, tracking, and availability of parts for open work orders and established inventory lists for trucks and warehouses. The Inventory Supervisor works closely with technicians, operational leadership, and vendors to ensure customer expectations are met through accurate inventory levels, strong purchasing controls, and clear communication on order status. This position directly impacts service and construction performance, technician productivity, and customer satisfaction by ensuring materials are available when needed and inventory processes remain accurate, compliant, and efficient.

Requirements

  • Ability to occasionally work weekends/off hours.
  • High School diploma or GED and 1 years’ experience managing inventory or related work and Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, & Outlook)

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely ordering and delivery of parts for open work orders as well as inventory items for trucks and warehouses.
  • Work directly with the service, construction and environmental departments and technicians in the field to order materials when necessary.
  • Communicate parts status updates through internal software as well as customer specific software in some cases.
  • Update status on outstanding orders daily and escalate to key service personnel when there will be delays, especially on critical parts.
  • Coordinate, execute and conduct physical inventory counts.
  • Perform periodic quality checks to ensure inventory meets company standards.
  • Maintain reports and records relating to inventory needs, usage, turns, and make suggestions regarding stocking levels.
  • Place and track orders compliant with company procedures and purchase order management.
  • Record all estimates/purchases/shipping status for tracking and communicate with vendors to mitigate and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
  • Continuously source alternative supply lines and current industry pricing.
  • Review and sign off on invoices after ensuring accurate pricing/purchase order accuracy and physical receipt of ordered items.
  • Process any returns and reimbursements for missing and/or defective items.
  • Report discrepancies between physical inventory counts and company records.
  • Provide day-to-day oversight, direction, and support to inventory/parts personnel.
  • Train staff on inventory procedures, purchasing processes, and system documentation standards.
  • Develop and improve inventory processes to reduce shortages, improve accuracy, and increase inventory turns.
  • Support leadership with inventory forecasting, reporting, and operational recommendations.
