The Inventory and Production Reporting Specialist is primarily responsible for the accuracy of production data and inventory reporting, including managing the corrections of any errors reported and completing the final review prior to submitting for financial review. This role ensures that underlying data on inventory and production value is accurate in the financial results of the company. This role reports to the Plant Controller. JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include but are not limited to the following. Maintain 90% compliance rating between actual shop floor reporting and the division policies. Partner with Operational Leadership team to create action plan when compliance rating is below 90%. Ensures accuracy of Raw Materials, WIP and Finished Goods Inventory balances and quantities. Reviews and closes all production orders. Identifies and corrects transactional errors for production-related entries found in SAP (i.e. End of Shift Reports). Reports error findings to Finance and plant management. Partners with them to develop Corrective Action Plan. Manages daily cycle counts for raw materials and finished goods by auditing the physical counts to the system quantities and examining/reporting any variances found. Process inventory adjustments when needed to reflect overruns, quality issues, phantom inventory, etc. once approved by leadership and/or Finance. Manages consignment inventory by performing/auditing monthly inventory count, comparing incoming inventory to previous month end numbers and determining period usage. Reports production information on a daily basis to Finance and Plant Management. Ensures all Month End Close Tasks are completed accurately and timely, including: Review Open Inventory Transfers, Subcontracting, Book to Book Reconciliations, Inventory Adjustments (ink, wip, corrugate), Ink Scorecard. Compiles data for Month End Journal Entries, including: Aged Inventory Reserves, QC Hold Reserves, and others as assigned. Leads Monthly Inventory and Production Reporting Review with Production Managers. Leads Annual Physical Inventory for outside warehouses. Completes Annual Book to Book Reconciliations for outside warehouses. Acts as Subject Matter Expert and trainer for plant employees on SAP and PEAK. Trains employees on correct ways to utilize and accurately enter data into software. Attend AM/PM Production Meetings when Controller cannot attend. Completes reconciliation of Chep and Peco pallet programs. Completes other tasks as requested by the Finance Department. Completes other tasks as requested by Plant Management, if approved by the Finance Department. Additional duties as assigned.
