Nominated a Top Workplace ten years in a row! Hornig Companies seeks a full-time Inventory & Parts Technician based in St. Louis Park. Some local travel to vendor and satellite locations is required on an as-needed basis.

Requirements

  • Attention to detail
  • Ability and willingness to learn
  • Valid Driver’s License and meet car insurance requirements
  • Ability to stand, lift and bend for up to 8 hours (with breaks) in hot/cold and wet environments
  • Ability to reach, carry, push, pull, lift overhead and move boxes or equipment up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Able to maintain regular on-site attendance
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Data entry and proficiency with MS Office preferred, computer proficiency required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in inventory, product identification, planning and tracking receivables is preferred
  • Multi-housing experience is a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Use software to track and maintain accurate inventory levels
  • Order supplies from vendors on a weekly basis
  • Accurately receive, check-in and track delivery of supplies, checking for condition, shortage and discrepancies and correcting issues when needed
  • Manage the check-in and check-out process of fans, heaters, humidifiers and shared tools, following up on items that are not returned in a timely manner
  • Keep inventory area clean and organized
  • Assist and train maintenance staff in allocation of inventory.
  • Assist and train maintenance staff in checking out and returning supplies
  • Communicate with vendors when necessary
  • Communicate with manager on necessary inventory supply level change recommendations and obtain approval for special requests
  • Perform semi-annual physical inventory
  • Travel and assist with local satellite locations as necessary
