About The Position

The Inventory Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily activities across inventory control, receiving, material handling, and internal logistics, including yard trailer and box truck coordination. This role ensures operational accuracy, timely material availability, and smooth transit between facilities. The Supervisor leads cross-functional teams, promotes safety and compliance, and collaborates with internal departments to meet production and fulfillment needs. This position serves as a direct report to the Physical Inventory Manager and plays a key role in executing strategic goals across the warehouse environment.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership and cross-functional team management
  • Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel including filters, pivot tables, and basic formulas
  • Familiarity with receiving documentation, BOMs, pick lists, and material staging workflows
  • Excellent communication, organization, and follow-up skills
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot workflow bottlenecks and implement process improvements
  • Develop knowledge of safety and compliance standards including OSHA, GMP, and HACCP
  • Forklift certification required
  • High school diploma or GED required; supply chain certifications a plus
  • 3–5 years of experience in warehouse operations with 2+ years in a leadership role
  • Experience managing multiple functional areas

  • Experience in food-grade or regulated environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise receiving, inventory control, and materials handling teams
  • Monitor and validate transactions in ERP system
  • Assist with the oversight of internal logistics operations
  • Support production readiness through timely staging and replenishment of materials.
  • Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies, reporting root causes and corrective actions
  • Coach, schedule, and evaluate team leads and associates
  • Maintain documentation standards for receipts, counts, returns, and inventory adjustments
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Quality, and Production to drive continuous improvement
  • Enforce safety, cleanliness, and compliance with GMP, OSHA, and site-specific protocols
  • Perform audits and participate in regulatory inspections as needed.
  • Provide daily status updates and escalation summaries to the Physical Inventory Manager.
