About The Position
POSITION SUMMARY: H-E Parts Dom-Ex has been in business for over 40 years supplying mining parts and equipment to our local and worldwide customers. We are looking for candidates with a good work ethic, good attitude, mechanically inclined, basic computer skills, and willing to learn. The purpose of this position is to safely assist the H-E Parts Dom-Ex team with all aspect of the Hill Shop operations, including but not limited to, the receiving of parts, preparing parts for delivery, moving parts into inventory. This position also requires mechanical and maintenance skills, to include some heavy equipment disassembly, component inspections and equipment maintenance. This position will report directly to the Hill Shop Supervisor.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.
- Clean driving record and a valid driver license required.
- Ability to lift up to 50# is required.
Nice To Haves
- Ability to pass respirator fit test and pulmonary function test preferred.
- Forklift operator certification preferred.
- Two (2) years’ vocational school in mechanical or maintenance field preferred.
- At least three (3) years mechanical work experience preferred.
- Previous experience in heavy equipment repair and/or mechanical aptitude preferred.
- Warehouse and/or inventory control experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Safety – conduct all activities in a safe manner, utilizing PPE and adhering to company policy and alerting others regarding potential concerns. Safety is # 1.
- Assist with projects and tasks while working in the parts yard.
- Effectively communicate and relay pertinent information in a timely manner to the team.
- Load and Unload trucks as needed.
- Move components by operating forklifts, boom trucks, and overhead cranes.
- Navigate a computer inventory system to track inventory movements.
- Perform or assist with maintenance on shop equipment or vehicles.
- Disassemble, inspect and possible repair of heavy equipment, components, or parts.
- Construct crates and pallets to protect parts and components for orders and stock shipments.
- Keep work areas and parts yard clean and organized.
