About The Position

Dayshift Maintenance Mechanic Job Summary: The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining machinery and equipment on the production floor, performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting. Responsible for checking equipment by running diagnostic tests to diagnose malfunctions, dissembling machinery to remove parts and make repairs while working closely with other maintenance mechanics in the department. The Maintenance Mechanic will report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor. Dayshift Maintenance Mechanic Requirements: 3+ years as a maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environment Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Sunday 5:15am-3:45pm. Off Friday & Saturday - training schedule will vary for the first 90 days Food manufacturing experience preferred Trade school or Technical Degree preferred Automation background preferred Maintenance mechanic will possess strong mechanical, pneumatic and troubleshooting background Strong electrical and electronic background preferred along with the basic understanding of electrical principles Experience working with filling, packaging equipment and bottling preferred Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System a plus Knowledge and basic understanding of current, voltage, PLC’s and resistance Knowledge and understanding of ordering parts, equipment, and replenishment procedures Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate with all levels of the organization Ability to work weekends Able to follow directions from peers and Supervisors, can work in a team environment with a “sense of urgency” and “can do” attitude Dayshift Mechanic Pay and Perks: Starting pay $30.14/hr with room for advancement Hours: second shift: 3:45pm-2:15am. / split shift: 11:00am-9:30pm. / both shifts require some weekends 401K plan and company match program Health, Vision, Dental Insurance, 100% monthly premium funded by Pompeian for single or family Health Reimbursement Account Paid vacation, 40 hours paid sick leave, 9 paid holidays, 2 paid floating holidays Annual safety show allowance Paid time off for Jury duty, Bereavement Leave, and Volunteer Events Employee Referral Bonus Program Free Employee Assistance Program for employees and household members Employee led programs for wellness, diversity and planned community events Educational Assistance Program Family Scholarship Program Opportunity to work with Top 2026 Workplace in manufacturing, compensation & benefits and one of Maryland healthiest business Dayshift Maintenance Mechanic Responsibilities: Mechanic will work on all production equipment and supporting systems (steam, air, and wastewater) Maintenance Mechanic will ensure equipment is properly maintained and set up for changeovers Maintenance Mechanic will possess a solid understanding of proper tool storage, safe tool operation, safe lift operation, shop rules, GMP’s, Safety, Quality and OSHA guidelines Understanding of the schedule, breaks, strong attendance with the flexibility to work weekends Maintenance Mechanic will assist with production line support and changeovers Maintenance Mechanic will understand all basic screen controls, e-stops, and utility connections on all production equipment Mechanic will effectively communicate with all departments through email and phone to include shift pass down summaries along with any challenges on the shift Strong knowledge of lock-out / tag out Maintain cleanliness throughout the facility and maintenance department Ensure all tasks comply with environmental regulations, and company environmental goals Performs duties per Pompeian's mission, goals and core values All others duties and tasks assigned About us : The Olive Oil People – is America's largest national brand of olive oil, bestselling vinegars and a variety of cooking sprays. Requirements

3+ years as a maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environment
Maintenance mechanic will possess strong mechanical, pneumatic and troubleshooting background
Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
Ability to work weekends
Able to follow directions from peers and Supervisors, can work in a team environment with a “sense of urgency” and “can do” attitude

Nice To Haves

Food manufacturing experience preferred
Trade school or Technical Degree preferred
