About The Position

As Inventory & Materials Coordinator you will play a critical role in supporting manufacturing operations by ensuring accurate inventory management, efficient material flow, and uninterrupted production. This role is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of inventory, from receiving and storage to replenishment and audit, while maintaining data integrity and operational efficiency. You will collaborate closely with Procurement, Production, Logistics, and Suppliers to ensure materials are available when needed, discrepancies are resolved quickly, and inventory processes are continuously improved. What am I accountable for? Inventory Management & Control (40%) Maintain accurate inventory records within the company systems, ensuring real-time data integrity. Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to identify discrepancies. Investigate and reconcile inventory variances, implementing corrective actions as needed. Monitor inventory levels and ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained to support production. Ensure proper storage, labeling, and organization of materials within the facility. Implement and maintain FIFO (First-In, First-Out) practices for applicable materials. Track and report inventory performance metrics, including accuracy and turnover. Identify opportunities to improve inventory processes and reduce waste or excess stock Receiving & Material Handling (25%) Receive incoming shipments and verify accuracy against purchase orders and documentation. Inspect materials for discrepancies and compliance, coordinate with Quality and Procurement as needed. Accurately record receipts and ensure timely system transactions. Coordinate proper storage and put-away of materials to designated locations. Support internal material movement to production areas to ensure timely availability. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. Replenishment & Material Flow Coordination (20%) Monitor material consumption and trigger replenishment activities to prevent shortages. Coordinate with Procurement and Suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials. Communicate potential shortages, delays, or risks to production and operations leadership. Support material planning efforts by providing accurate inventory data and insights. Assist in optimizing inventory levels to balance availability with cost efficiency. Supplier & Cross-Functional Coordination (5%) Work closely with suppliers, procurement, and internal teams to resolve inventory and delivery issues. Provide input on supplier performance related to delivery accuracy and timeliness. Support continuous improvement initiatives across inventory and supply chain processes. Team G&G (10%) Support organizational goals and contribute to team objectives and key performance targets. Foster a positive, collaborative, and safety-focused work environment. Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives. What does success look like? Success in this role is demonstrated by highly accurate inventory records, minimal discrepancies, and reliable material availability that supports uninterrupted production. Inventory levels are optimized, shortages are proactively avoided, and issues are identified and resolved quickly. Requirements

  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles, including cycle counting and reconciliation.
  • Experience with MRP/ERP or inventory management systems.
