About The Position

The Global Inventory Leader is responsible for defining and executing the global inventory strategy across the business to ensure optimal balance between customer service, working capital efficiency, and operational resilience. This role drives standardized inventory planning processes, governance, and analytics across manufacturing plants, distribution centers, and external partners. The Global Inventory Leader partners closely with Operations, Materials Management, Sourcing, Finance, and Commercial teams to improve inventory turns, reduce excess and obsolete inventory, and ensure appropriate stocking strategies to support growth and delivery performance. The role requires strong analytical capability, cross-functional leadership, and the ability to influence global teams to drive consistent processes and disciplined inventory management.

Requirements

  • Major in Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in finance, supply chain, materials management, planning, or operations
  • At least 1 year of experience as Supply Chain Finance for a business
  • Experience managing yearly budget across multiple manufacturing or distribution locations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams in a global organization
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Experience managing FPC with multiple sites

Responsibilities

  • Global Inventory Strategy Define and deploy the global inventory strategy aligned with business growth, service levels, and working capital objectives.
  • Establish global policies for safety stock, stocking strategies, reorder points, and inventory segmentation.
  • Drive optimization of raw material, WIP, and finished goods inventory across manufacturing sites and distribution locations.
  • Working Capital & Performance Own global inventory KPIs including inventory turns, days of inventory, excess and obsolete inventory (E&O), and service level performance.
  • Lead initiatives to improve working capital performance while maintaining delivery reliability.
  • Partner with Finance to ensure alignment between inventory plans and financial targets.
  • SIOP & Demand/Supply Alignment Partner with the SIOP process to ensure inventory strategies are aligned with demand forecasts, capacity planning, and supply constraints.
  • Identify inventory risks and opportunities through SIOP reviews and drive mitigation plans with operations and supply chain teams.
  • Inventory Governance & Analytics Develop and deploy standardized inventory management processes and reporting across all sites.
  • Implement advanced analytics and digital tools to improve inventory visibility and decision-making.
  • Provide global visibility of inventory health and risks through regular performance reviews.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership Work closely with Materials, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Logistics, and Commercial teams to drive coordinated inventory decisions.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to reduce lead times, optimize lot sizes, and improve material flow.
  • Continuous Improvement Lead projects focused on reducing excess and obsolete inventory and improving inventory turns.
  • Apply Lean and operational excellence principles to simplify processes and eliminate waste in inventory management.
  • Support digital transformation initiatives impacting planning and inventory systems.
