SUMMARY The Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing, controlling, and reconciling all inventory activities within the distribution center while ensuring full alignment and accuracy between internal operations and third-party logistics (3PL) partners. This role is critical to inventory integrity, audit readiness, and system accuracy, requiring strong controls, reconciliation discipline, and compliance enforcement across WMS, ERP, and reporting platforms. The Inventory Manager works cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Compliance, and external logistics providers to investigate discrepancies, support audits, and continuously improve inventory processes.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience reconciling inventory between internal distribution center operations and third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
  • Strong working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP platforms.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, data analysis, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP).
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and receiving processes.
  • close attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of inventory management experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment.
  • Receive certified product in accordance with Town & Country Living receiving guidelines.
  • Verify the certified product is properly marked, labeled, and linked to supporting documentation.
  • Ensure accurate weight and piece counts for certified goods.
  • Label certified product cartons with proper GOTS certification identifiers.
  • Store certified goods in clearly identified, segregated locations.
  • Immediately notify the Compliance team of any discrepancies, non-conformances, or documentation issues related to the certified product.
  • Maintain inventory controls and documentation to support certification audits and traceability requirements.

  • Forklift certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all inventory activities within the distribution center, including receiving, storage, transfers, adjustments, and shipping transactions.
  • Perform routine and formal reconciliations of inventory balances between the distribution center and all assigned 3PL partners (daily, weekly, monthly, and ad hoc as required).
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for inventory-related communication, reporting, and discrepancy resolution with 3PL providers.
  • Review, validate, and approve 3PL inventory reports, inbound and outbound transaction data, and storage balances.
  • Investigate, document, and resolve inventory discrepancies across WMS, ERP, and 3PL systems; escalate unresolved variances as required.
  • Lead and coordinate cycle counts, physical inventories, spot checks, and audit counts; analyze variances and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy and integrity across the Warehouse Management System (WMS), ERP, and all related inventory-tracking platforms.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce inventory control procedures, SOPs, and system controls to support audit readiness and operational consistency.
  • Partner with Operations, Finance, and Compliance teams to support internal audits, external audits, certifications, and regulatory reporting.
  • Monitor inventory trends, shrinkage, root causes of loss, and system variances; recommend and implement process improvements.
  • Prepares and presents inventory reports, KPIs, reconciliation summaries, and audit documentation to leadership.
  • Train and support warehouse staff on inventory control procedures, system usage, and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, certification requirements, and applicable regulatory obligations.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned to support operational and compliance needs.
