As an Inventory Control Specialist, you'll be the heartbeat of our supply chain, ensuring we have everything needed to keep operations running smoothly. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will help maintain inventory levels, order essential supplies, and keep precise records.

Requirements

Exceptional Communicator: Engage effectively with warehouse staff, purchasing department, and vendors.
Inventory Knowledge: Solid understanding of inventory control procedures.
Tech-Savvy: Proficient keyboarding skills and experience with computerized inventory systems.
Organizational Wizard: Extremely organized and able to work independently.
Math Skills: Ability to perform basic math calculations.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience with computerized inventory systems is essential.

Nice To Haves

Forklift operator certification preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

Maintain Inventory Excellence: Order new supplies as inventory dwindles, always up to pre-authorized limits.
Establish Backup Sources: Create and maintain backup sources for high-demand items.
Analyze and Optimize: Review inventory reports to identify items for automatic, recurring delivery.
Collaborate with the Team: Provide insightful inventory reports to the purchasing manager.
Build Vendor Relationships: Develop strong working relationships with vendors for optimal support.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate daily records of goods received and shipments made.
Manage Inventory Systems: Oversee our inventory management system and facilitate upgrades.
Conduct Audits: Perform spot checks and assist with annual physical inventory audits.
Forklift Operations: Operate a forklift when necessary.
