About The Position

Responsible for performing and managing physical and administrative tasks related to inventory control, shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment. Duties include rejecting unsatisfactory items, determining routing and arrangements for shipments based on item characteristics, urgency, and cost, and selecting the most economical and efficient carriers. Prepares and maintains records of shipped and received products, processes freight bills and related documentation, and tracks shipments using a Product Tracking System. Receives, unpacks, and verifies incoming materials against purchase orders or invoices, ensuring conformance to stated identifications and inspecting for non-conforming material per company procedures. Stocks and distribute materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines. Ensures compliance with material handling procedures, Environmental Health and Safety requirements, and safe handling of chemicals per the Hazardous Chemical Guidebook. Troubleshoots and rectify straightforward discrepancies, escalating issues as needed.

Requirements

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance

  • Familiar with MS Office applications, specifically Excel, Outlook, Power Point, and Word

Responsibilities

  • Receiving ensuring that all incoming materials, parts, supplies, and equipment are properly received, inspected, and documented.
  • Storing managing inventory and ensuring that all items are stored in a safe, organized, and accessible manner.
  • Distribution coordinating timely and efficient distribution of materials and parts to various departments or locations as needed.
  • Support for programs providing specific logistical support tailored to the needs of different programs.
  • Maintain clean and safe working environment
  • Must be able to work in other areas to help the business needs.
