Inventory Management Lead Role Purpose: Assists Management in meeting daily activity goals and objectives by providing direct leadership to the warehouse and/or delivery teams. Performs a variety of general duties within the assigned warehouse department. As an Inventory Management Lead, you will: Perform all requirements of assigned department(s) (shipping, receiving, order picking, inventory, delivery, etc.); and aid throughout the warehouse as needed. Coordinate warehouse staffing needs with Management. Assist with departmental cross-training and support the professional development of team members. Prepare reports and complete documentation for Management or the assigned work area. As workflow requires: Ensure verification takes place on all incoming and outgoing transactions. Receive material from vendors into the business system and maintain related records. Assist with loading and unloading of delivery vehicles. Fill counter sales orders, process cash and credit transactions, and oversee the cash drawer (where applicable). Assist with inventory management including cycle counts. Frequently lift, carry, move, and position products weigh up to 40 pounds unassisted when stocking, loading, or unloading products. Regularly bend, stoop, and/or crouch from various heights to stock or deliver product to a customer. Operate a forklift (proper training and certification required) and use material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, dollies, handcarts, and conveyors. Create, implement, and revise procedures and work instructions. Support the implementation and processes of TWL (if applicable) and the company quality program. Clean and maintain work area to ensure compliance with safety regulations. In the absence of the Supervisor, provide instructions and directions to the warehouse staff.
