About The Position

The Inventory Financial Specialist is responsible for managing and analyzing inventory financial data to ensure accuracy and efficiency in inventory management.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in inventory management, financial analysis, or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and inventory management software.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Review product numbers and vendor/donor records ensuring accuracy.
  • Assist in researching inventory discrepancies.
  • Assist in researching Agency order/payment discrepancies.
  • Review inventory receipts ensuring accuracy.
  • Monitor flow of inventory within the Food Bank ensuring accurate tracking and processing of goods.
  • Assist in review and implementation of inventory and receiving processes.
  • Reconcile monthly inventory.
  • Assist with physical inventory/cycle count review.
  • Support month-end closing activities.
  • Utilize inventory management software and financial systems to track and report inventory data.
  • Collaborate closely with operations, purchasing, and finance teams.
  • Adheres to internal reporting procedures to safeguard organizational assets and ensures accurate financial reporting.
  • Assists with all financial and inventory audits.
  • Works independently and collaboratively with other departments and employees in support of the mission of the Food Bank.
  • Ensures a safe, secure, and legal environment.
  • Maintains a clean and safe workspace.
  • Follows all safety standards and procedures.
  • Adheres to the Food Bank's Employee Code of Conduct.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
