About The Position

Reporting to the Materials Planning Manager at our Oakdale, California facility, home to local producers Hunts Food, Rosarita, RoTel, Gebhardt, and Angela Mia, you will partner with procurement and operations teams in this onsite position to place purchase orders against previously established contracts, with careful consideration for quality, reliability, and urgency of need. You will coordinate the review of daily, weekly, and monthly exception reports, troubleshoot issues, follow up with suppliers on order status, and obtain certification when orders are delivered. You will resolve most questions and problems independently and refer more complex issues to higher levels as needed to support business continuity. A Taste of Your Responsibilities Maintains accuracy of inventory. Ensures continuous business operations and the Company’s goals. Monitors all inventory within their responsibility, assuring compliance with quantity, specifications, quality, delivery and price. Purchase assigned items at prices consistent with market conditions, quality expectations, and service requirements essential to supporting business operations and meeting our goals. Monitor purchases within your area of responsibility to ensure compliance with required quantities, specifications, quality standards, delivery expectations, and pricing. Facilitate turnaround of invoice resolution, damaged product claims, and discrepancy issues by partnering with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and shared services teams. Understand inbound and outbound freight and related cost structures to help optimize total landed cost and service levels. Serve as a liaison between suppliers and internal departments at the Company, ensuring clear communication of requirements, changes, and issue resolution. Lead dead stock resolution within your area of responsibility and recommend a course of action to the Department Manager for disposition options. Provide oversight within your scope of work and support consistent application of policies and procedures across teams, escalating complex concerns to leadership when appropriate. Other duties as assigned. Ingredients Required for Your Success 1+ year of experience in manufacturing or warehouse operations. Experience coordinating projects or managing project timelines. Experience working with the SAP system or similar enterprise resource planning tools. High school diploma or GED. Relocation assistance is available for this position. Preference will be given to local candidates. Physical Requirements This role requires regular talking and hearing, with frequent standing and walking. You may occasionally sit, handle materials, reach, or perform brief bending or balancing tasks. You may occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close and distance vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Work may occur in a noisy environment with varying temperatures. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity.
