About The Position

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Distribution Warehouse Inventory Control Supervisor to oversee and manage all aspects of inventory control within our busy distribution warehouse. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate stock levels, efficient inventory management processes, and adherence to company standards and procedures. This role requires strong leadership skills, the ability to analyze data effectively, and a commitment to maintaining a smooth and productive warehouse operation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management and proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel for data analysis.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with team members and management.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or evenings, as needed.
  • Ability to travel to other locations, as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in implementing process improvements and lean principles in warehouse operations is desirable.
  • Cherry picker certification and knowledge of warehouse safety protocols are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all inventory control activities, including cycle counts, stock audits, and reconciliation of physical inventories with records.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve inventory procedures to enhance accuracy, reduce discrepancies, and optimize warehouse efficiency.
  • Lead a team of inventory control associates, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure high levels of productivity and accuracy. Completing performance evaluations and corrective actions.
  • Analyze inventory data and reports to identify trends, discrepancies, and potential issues, and take proactive measures to address them.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, adjustments, and movements. Generate regular reports on inventory status, variance analysis, and key metrics for management review.
