About The Position

The Maintenance Inventory Planner reports to the Maintenance Manager and is responsible for the scheduling and planning of all maintenance and supporting MRO activities.  The Inventory Planner is responsible for scheduling preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, and equipment upgrades/shutdowns with minimal interruption to operations.  This role will support MRO inventory functions through stocking, inventory control, and control of maintenance parts in a manner that ensures part availability, while optimizing mechanic utilization and department spend.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory management and Maintenance.
  • Professionalism, tact, and presentation are all essential elements of the job.
  • Knowledge of safety precautions and practices associated with maintenance work
  • Knowledge of methods and procedures used in receiving, storing and issuing supplies and equipment

Responsibilities

  • Plans, schedules, and coordinates corrective and preventive maintenance activities
  • Develops asset-based PM schedule and assists maintenance supervisor in determining job priorities to maximize mechanic utilization
  • Ensures accurate record keeping of CMMS based data
  • Schedule development to maximize mechanic utilization and PM vs reactive maintenance
  • Develops robust PM plan linked to OEM recommendations
  • Maintains database of all parts, supplies and equipment ensuring all parts are assigned to active asset.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records for maintenance parts and supplies.
  • Maintains a clean, organized inventory – every part/location labeled
  • Perform regular audits to ensure inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Monitor stock levels and help initiate purchase orders to replenish supplies as needed
  • Perform other qualified duties as assigned.
