Along with providing materials, we install a wide range of products including framing, overhead doors, insulation, gutters, siding, and more. We also manufacture some products including trusses, cabinets, doors, and granite countertops. Requirements

  • Equipment Operation: Ability to obtain forklift certification within 30 days.
  • Physical Capability: Ability to lift, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and handle materials throughout the shift.
  • Product Knowledge: Willingness to learn lumber grades and building material identification.
  • Weather Resilience: Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Professionalism: Maintain a friendly, respectful, and approachable demeanor with coworkers and customers.
  • Dependability: Arrive on time daily and complete tasks within established timelines.
  • Team Orientation: Be flexible, collaborative, and committed to supporting team needs.
  • Flexibility of Schedule: Some counts or processes must be done before open or after closing business for the day. Some counts or processes must be completed regardless of schedule or hours worked that day.
  • Initiative: Demonstrate a willingness to take on tasks beyond primary responsibility and teach others when needed.
  • Tool Familiarity: Basic understanding of hand and power tools.
  • Communication Skills: Communicate openly and clearly, ask questions when unsure, and work constructively with feedback.
  • Work Ethic: Demonstrate discipline, self-motivation, and a positive attitude.

  • Computer Proficiency: Previous experience using inventory software or basic computer systems.

Responsibilities

  • Daily Management of Inventory Processes: Execute management of critical Inventory processes and tasks such as management of special-order received not allocated and the location special order credit/supplier return process.
  • Inventory Management: Execute accurate daily and scheduled inventory counts to ensure reliable stock records.
  • Cycle Count Execution: Activate, perform, and reconcile routine stock counts with attention to detail.
  • Template Management: Create and maintain stock count templates that support accurate and efficient counting.
  • Variance Resolution: Enter counts into BisTrack, identify discrepancies, and reconcile variances promptly.
  • Reporting: Submit final count reports with notes, communicating findings and discrepancies to management.
  • Stock Support: Assist sales and yard personnel by verifying stock levels and product availability.
  • Negative Quantity Review: Investigate negative inventory reports and resolve issues through analysis and follow-up.
  • Special Order Processing: Identify, tag, inspect, and track special-order returns according to vendor standards.
  • Process Minded: Willing to use SOP’s and processes in place to identify inventory issues and work within the location and departments to remedy those issues.
  • Vendor Coordination: Communicate with vendors to request and process return approvals.
  • Return Documentation: Generate supplier returns, process RMAs, and maintain records from initiation through completion.
  • Customer Credit Management: Ensure customer credits are issued once vendor reimbursement is confirmed.
  • Return Bay Oversight: Maintain organization and visibility within the special-order return area.
  • Will-Call Support (if assigned): Assist or lead the will-call process, assigning tasks, organizing paperwork, providing customer service, and ensuring safe material handling.
  • Customer Service: Professionally resolve customer disputes, load customer vehicles, and represent the company positively.
  • Team Communication: Communicate proactively with sales, vendors, and yard leadership on discrepancies and concerns impacting workflow.
  • Safety & Tool Use: Operate equipment safely, including forklifts and hand tools, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Adaptability: Adjust approach and priorities to meet changing yard needs.
  • Initiative: Take ownership in identifying process improvements, supporting coworkers, and contributing beyond assigned tasks.
  • Process Responsibilities: Manage location credits, Negative Quantity on Hand, Past Due list, Non Stock with Quantity on Hand, Special Order Received not Allocated, Open Supplier Returns past 6 Months, Special Order Returns, Supplier Return follow through.
  • Other Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
