About The Position

Oversee merchandise assets and warehouse operations. Responsible for maintaining accurate records of inventory, addressing inquiries, and handling routine issues. Utilize electronic tracking systems to monitor inventory, surplus items, and property stored in warehouses. Oversee the receipt and distribution of materials to County facilities, ensuring timely delivery. Collaborate with record management staff to coordinate document retention and disposal processes.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree or higher is required.
  • Two (2) years in the management of warehouse materials and inventory, or directly related experience is required.
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience is required.
  • Candidates who are contacted will be required to produce original required documents (e.g., current driver’s license, diploma, school transcript, certifications, etc.) listed on the Notice of Job Opportunity within five (5) days of being extended an offer, in writing, by the Bureau Chief of BHR (or designee). Candidates will be notified of how to submit required documents.
  • Degrees awarded outside of the United States with the exception of those awarded in one of the United States territories and Canada, must be credentialed by the World Education Services (WES), Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE) or a National Association of Credential Evaluation (NACES) member organization.
  • Ability to prepare and maintain operating records and other reports, such as materials used and work schedules.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and inventory software products.
  • Knowledge of warehousing and inventory practices and procedures, and knowledge of moving equipment and various hand tools.
  • Ability to coach others regarding their work and outputs in safe work practices and in the operation of pallet lifts/ four-wheeled dollies.
  • Ability to provide moderate-level insight, advice, and expertise to other professionals, management, and external contacts in an assigned functional area.
  • Ability to operate as a team player and communicate specialized knowledge team members, managers, and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of moderately complex principles and practices for a specialized area of focus.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
