About The Position

Schedule timely arrangement of customer orders whether by producing new product or by pulling from stocked product in accordance with shipping requirements. Responsible for the administration of purchasing and receiving goods and services. Ensures that facilities are stocked, productive, and profitable. Responsible for evaluating and assessing raw inventory," WIP" and finished goods inventories to maintain customer service needs. Reports to Operations Manager and works closely with Engineering Manager.

  • Relevant work experience within manufacturing environment with inventory control

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and oversees purchasing
  • Responsible for the procurement of all items
  • Makes purchases in a cost efficient and timely manner
  • Facilitates and communicates new vendor information for approval
  • Tracks progress of purchases
  • Accurately use software to communicate order information to mill operators
  • Effectively communicate internally with sales, production, and shipping to satisfy customer needs
  • Exercise proper inventory control methods to utilize and rotate old inventory
  • Ensures material to be received and in perpetual inventory within 24 hours
  • Reviews exception reports and non‐conformance reports and resolves issues in a timely manner
  • Coordinates outside processors slitting and transferring of material
  • Ensures accuracy of inventory within the ERP System, performs and facilitates all cycle counting tasks
  • Coordinate all outbound traffic functions and processes within the ERP System
  • Capable of working in an ISO-9001 work environment
  • Works safely and follows all safety rules and operational procedures
  • Wears and maintains all required PPE
  • Keeps assigned work area clean
  • Understands all safety devices and their operation. Notifies management if safety devices are malfunctioning or missing prior to operation
  • Safely operates all lifting devices per manufacturing specifications
  • Enforces all safety rules and regulations
