About The Position

Join National DCP, LLC (NDCP) as an Inventory Control Specialist , Warehouse, where you’ll play a key role in performing cycle counts within all areas of the warehouse as well as compile and report all findings to the management team. Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels. Ensure transaction in the system are accurately and timely executed. Ensure Inventory Adjustments are documented, accurately and timely posted. Collaborate with Operational Teams to ensure compliance and best practice procedures are adhered to. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in an inventory/materials role preferred.
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management and ERP Systems Manhattan TLM/WM SAP preferred.
  • Basic computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft office particularly Excel.
  • Basic leadership skills with the willingness to learn, improve and adapt.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in mathematics.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Experienced in using an RF gun preferred.
  • Flexible to work weekends to support operations or projects.
  • This role requires the employee to work in a multi-temperature Distribution Center, including freezer, chill, and dry goods areas.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to operate a computer keyboard and to view a computer screen for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift, tug, pull up to fifty (50) pounds

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily cycle count activities in accordance with NDCP procedures.
  • Identify and properly correct inventory discrepancies at the location level as needed, including count, location, hidden damages, etc.
  • Prepare reports using Manhattan, SAP and Excel and present findings to Management.
  • Work with key personnel to identify and effectively implement process improvements to operational procedures to proactively optimize overall location and item level accuracy and maintain the highest possible productivity levels.
  • Check in daily returns, RAR’s, damages and overages.
  • Verify code dated product is rotated properly.
  • Provide as needed troubleshooting, analysis and recommendations on inventory systems hardware (RF scanners, mobile hand-held computer/scanners, vehicle mounted data terminals).
  • Move pallets with forklift or powered jacks.
  • Participate on project teams as needed.
