About The Position

Job Description: As a Cycle Counter, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our inventory management processes. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts of our raw materials, work in progress (WIP), and finished goods within the manufacturing plant. Your attention to detail and commitment to maintaining precise inventory records will directly contribute to our ability to meet production targets and fulfill customer orders accurately.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in inventory management is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, cycle counting, or related field within a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software and proficiency in using computer applications such as Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and work under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and practices is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily cycle counts of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods in accordance with established procedures.
  • Utilize inventory management systems and tools to accurately record inventory levels, adjustments, and discrepancies.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies by identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with production, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure inventory accuracy and availability to support production schedules.
  • Conduct periodic audits to verify the integrity of inventory data and processes.
  • Assist in the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to optimize inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in designated inventory storage areas.
