All about the role: The Inventory Control Specialist will be the operational owner of inventory governance, cycle count programs, root-cause analysis, and annual physical inventory events. This role is accountable for critical metrics such as Inventory Record Accuracy, Inventory Adjustments, Wall-to-Wall (Physical Inventory – PI) and Inventory Cuts, ensuring these align with organizational objectives. Success in this position requires strong cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Planning, IT, Finance, Accounting, and Continuous Improvement teams, with a focus on sustainability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Inventory Control; multi-site preferred.
  • Ability to create and achieve inventory KPIs for the operations and team.
  • Advanced experience in the use of the Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Power user of inventory management systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with basic understanding of statistics and supply chain processes.
  • Travel is required (30%).

Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Inventory Control department.
  • Oversee inventory accuracy across multiple warehouse locations by monitoring, analyzing, and reconciling inventory levels.
  • Ensure compliance with inventory control governance and standard operating procedures across all sites.
  • Partner with inventory teams to uphold high standards of accuracy and drive daily operational efficiency.
  • Conduct routine cycle counts and physical inventory audits; promptly investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Provide strategic leadership to meet departmental goals, enhance team performance, and implement continuous improvement initiatives aligned with world-class supply chain practices.
  • Facilitate weekly and monthly KPI reviews with site Inventory Control teams and leadership to align actions and drive measurable results.
  • Champion process improvement efforts focused on optimizing inventory management and achieving best-in-class performance.
  • Support budgeting and strategic planning by delivering accurate inventory data and actionable insights.
  • Develop and enhance warehouse operational processes, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, storage, and material handling.
  • Lead execution of the annual physical inventory process in accordance with ECS standards and audit requirements.
