Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent required
Prior materials management or commercial supply activates preferred and computer experience preferred
0-1 year preferred

Responsibilities

Orders, receives, inspects, stores, issues.
Writes exchange carts for all units.
Fills and delivers these items.
Demonstrates a commitment to the maintenance of positive and effective working relationships with other hospital departments.
Packages and ships material leaving the premises maintaining written documentation of items shipped, reason for shipping, date of shipping, shipper used, and destination.
IE: return shipments of recalled items.
Performs other duties as needed or assigned by the Director of Materials Management.
Receives & delivers medical/surgical supplies and equipment.
Monitors department usage and assists Supervisor in assuring inventories are maintained.
Writes exchange carts for all units - accurately delivers all items needed.
Fills all requisitions subject to the policies and procedures of the department.
Maintains MM request email box.
Able to learn & complete functions related to Buyer (i.e. -Cover Vacations).
Uses FIFO inventory system for rotating stock throughout the hospital.
