We are seeking an Inventory Control Senior Lead who will embody the heart and soul of our mission of creating memories worth repeating while bringing families closer together and caring deeply about our brand. The right Inventory Control Lead will include equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, detail driver, mentor, and motivator. The Inventory Control Lead serves as liaison for the team responsible for inventory management of various Merchandise locations across The Dollywood Company including but not limited to Dollywood Theme Park, Dollywood’s Splash Country, and Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort & Spa. This is to be done in a manner consistent with the mission, values, and operating philosophies of the Dollywood Company. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able to display and live out Lead with Love qualities, strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture, by being patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountable.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Two (2) years of office or data-entry experience preferred
  • Proficiency with common software required. Experience with AS400, JD Edwards and Pronto Thinclient preferred
  • 1-2 years’ experience conducting and maintaining inventory is highly preferred
  • Must have a valid TN Driver’s License with current automobile insurance and be able to drive company vehicles as required
  • Able to make a friendly impression when speaking to or corresponding with guests, vendors, and other employees
  • Must reflect Dollywood’s image by being genuinely friendly and caring and by taking pride in work
  • Must be self-motivated and disciplined
  • Must be able to prioritize and complete work assignments on a timely basis
  • Must maintain strict confidentiality and judgment regarding privileged information

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Liaison between Merchandise Inventory Control Technicians and Product Supervisor, fielding questions, opportunities and training needs
  • Responsible for HR functions of direct reports including training and developing hosts, host documentation, performance evaluations, corrective actions
  • Serves as main contact to Sales and Service team to receive guest correspondence and take appropriate action
  • Provides administrative support: division representative to park, process incoming/outgoing mail, purchase supplies
  • Identify and implement efficiencies for process and procedures
  • Manage and process inventory/price adjustments, open SKUs, negative on hand, price ticket requests, promotions, markdowns and mark-offs
  • Responsible for aspects of mid-period and period-end physical inventories —freeze inventories, generate count sheets, input counts, print discrepancy reports, finalize counts in system. Follow up/correct any large discrepancies with corresponding location leadership
  • Responsible for production data entry, maintaining & updating production recipes and item codes with leadership direction
  • Generate, auto-distribute and maintain weekly, period end and year end reports
  • Lead Inventory Control team in scheduled cycle counts, accurate completion and record maintenance
  • Manage mail orders including guest correspondence, guest refunds, product exchanges, product purchases with payment processing and overall communication through delivery
