Summary Responsible for ensuring accurate on hand inventory and efficient binning of products to assure high efficiency in operations. Role owns Inventory accuracy via managing a team of Warehouse Inventory Auditors, research of issues and coordination with other departments to assure systems, checks & balances, training, etc. is in place to meet highest levels of accuracy.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5-10 Years Inventory / Warehouse / Transportation Experience
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Proficient in the use of WMS and ERP systems
  • Excellent math skills
  • Excellent Organizational and time management skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Ability to read and write in English. Ability to effectively articulate and present information and respond to questions from Management in a professional manner.
  • The employee is regularly required to have manual dexterity and written, verbal & auditory skills.
  • The employee is regularly required to stand, walk and sit during the workday.
  • The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Employee must be able to accommodate the requirement of public transportation of any type, in role, to get to/from employment/other offices in a timely manner, as scheduled.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the Inventory Auditor team
  • Ensure compliance with Inventory Control procedures
  • Monitor inventory compliance procedures and suggest changes due to business changes or improvement to current system believed to be possible
  • Troubleshoot quantity discrepancies within internal and update all transactions in ERP system
  • Designing and working with operations to implement optimized warehouse layout and inventory slotting strategies to boost operational efficiency and storage density
  • Assure new products are slotted ahead of arrival, for fastest receipt to sales ready timing
  • Prepare and participate in annual physical inventory counts
  • Research all cycle count variances to find root cause of problems and work as needed with other departments to keep the issue from re-occurring. If required with IT to modify systems to assure systems are working and supporting inventory accuracy goals
  • Collaborate with Warehouse, Supply Chain and Customer Service teams to ensure order fulfillment when there are inventory discrepancies
  • Assist with annual bank inventory audits
  • Regular visits to the warehouses to coordinate with the auditors and warehouse management
  • Other duties as assigned
