About The Position

This position is responsible for overseeing each shipping and receiving operation at Mays Chemical third party warehouses. The inventory control manager responsibilities comprise managing, controlling as well as monitoring the activities related to inventory management. It also includes interacting with the personnel involved in various functions like material planning, warehousing, inventory control, master scheduling, receiving, and shipping, etc., ensuring compliance with all the needs of the internal as well as external customers and the company's facility system. Ensure the accuracy of Mays Chemical inventory. Manage information integrity for Mays Chemical Company item master data. Ensure inventory transactions completed in compliance with SOPs. Practices the principles of food safety, quality, and continuous improvement under the GFSI guidelines. Monitors, investigates, and adjusts all quantity, cost and lot discrepancies. Reconciles inventory of 3rd Party Warehouses. Enters shipping feedback for 3rd party warehouses. Maintains Chempax files for inventory. Monitors and tracks monthly consignment inventory. Enters in new products in Chempax. Enters hazard information in Bill of Lading system. Monitors and conducts cycle counts. Runs year-end inventory. Demonstrates ability to use standard procedures and perform work thoroughly. Successfully interacts, communicates, and works with supervisors and personnel. Performs tasks accurately with a sense of orderliness and timeliness, while paying attention to detail. Works independently and demonstrates initiative and hard work. Demonstrates knowledge and respect for Mays Chemical Company operations and procedures. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Business or Science or relevant work history.
  • Certification in handling forklift and other equipment, hazardous material, is helpful.
  • Experience with typical business software applications e.g. Microsoft Office, Transportation Management system, etc.
  • 5-8 years’ experience working in warehouse environment required.
  • 3-5 years’ experience handling chemical/hazardous materials required.
  • Ability to use personal computers, peripherals office equipment, WMS system and Enterprise Information system, etc.
  • No travel required.
