Job Description # 717 Position: Inventory Control Lead Department: Operations Type of position: Salaried Non-Exempt Reports to: LMOS Warehouse Manager JOB SUMMARY: The Inventory Control Lead is primarily responsible for the management and control of all inventory through the shipment to the customer. This position plans and coordinates work, trains and motivates associates; ensures their ability to safely operate material handling equipment to move materials throughout the plant. Administers the accurate recording of inventory transactions by associates as well as creation of documents related to material transfers and cycle counts. Root Cause Analysis and Corrective action of all inventory adjustments driving to 100% accuracy.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated understanding of ERP methodology
  • Leadership experience
  • HS Diploma required: B.S. or B.A. degree in logistics/business management preferred, industrial management or related field.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or similar working environment
  • Must be proficient in MS Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Experienced with using hand-held RF unit

Responsibilities

  • Create cycle count plans, monitor activities, and resolve all material discrepancies
  • Facilitate meetings with appropriate departments to report issues and inventory results
  • Support warehouse functions by problem solving and investigating adjustments and irregularities such as ship shorts, lost inventory, and stock checks.
  • Works closely with management on establishing and meeting KPI’s
  • Works closely with management and finance department on reporting inventory activity
  • Control and monitor movement of inventory to/from offsite warehouse
  • Control and monitor Outside Processed Inventory
  • Direct and manage annual physical inventory
  • Measures and reports indicators of department accuracy and efficiency. Proposes continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversees the rotation and documentation of inventories maintaining accuracy and FIFO (First In, First Out) in all.
