About The Position

The Inventory Control Team Lead will assist the Inventory Control Supervisor in managing a team of inventory control associates to ensure accurate inventory records, efficient warehouse space utilization, and compliance with operational standards. This role combines daily operational oversight, cycle counting, and cross-functional collaboration to drive continuous improvement and maintain a safe, organized, and high-performing warehouse environment. Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of warehousing experience required.
  • One year of inventory experience preferred.
  • Previous experience leading a team in a warehouse environment preferred.
  • Ability to adhere to all company policies, guidelines, and safety requirements.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds throughout the course of the day.
  • Ability to regularly stand, bend, reach, climb, move around the warehouse, and be able to work sometimes in high and/or cramped places.
  • Experience operating a forklift and cherry picker preferred or the ability to learn.
  • Minimum basic Excel skills required. Intermediate preferred.
  • Experience in Oracle or similar WMS inventory programs required.
  • Ability to work Monday - Friday 7AM - 3:30PM.

Responsibilities

  • Train, coach, and provide leadership to inventory associates
  • Work with supervisors and other leadership to ensure accurate inventory control practices
  • Utilize hand-held devices, computers, and counting tools to include weight counting scales
  • Perform general inventory duties to include cycle counts
  • Track and record accurate inventory
  • Maintain a minimum of 98% degree of accuracy for counts and data entry
  • Identify products and units of measure
  • Update containers with partial quantities
  • Research and report discrepancies and damaged products
  • Oversee cycle counts from inventory associates
  • Provide second count audits
  • Review inventory areas to ensure materials in their proper place
  • Operate a forklift on a regular basis
  • Maintain good communication with leadership, peers, and warehouse associates
