About The Position

The Inventory Control Lead is responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy through cycle counting, discrepancy investigation, and process improvement. This position leads inventory control activities, coordinates cycle count schedules, and supports warehouse and production teams to maintain accurate inventory within NetSuite.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
  • 3+ years experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or logistics.
  • Experience working with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Experience with RF scanners or barcode systems.
  • Strong leadership and training abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate or become certified on reach truck or warehouse equipment.
  • Ability to lift and move materials as required in a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand/walk 8+ hours
  • Ability to climb ladders or operate lift equipment

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate all cycle counting and inventory audit activities.
  • Schedule, organize, and perform daily and periodic cycle counts.
  • Maintain inventory control standards within NetSuite including location integrity, item status, and transaction accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies using NetSuite transaction history (receipts, adjustments, transfers, returns).
  • Maintain accurate inventories of raw materials, components, and finished goods.
  • Train and supervise Inventory Control Clerks on counting procedures and SOP compliance.
  • Ensure all materials are properly labeled, stored, and located correctly in the warehouse.
  • Partner with warehouse, production, and purchasing teams to resolve inventory issues.
  • Develop and maintain inventory control SOPs and best practices.
  • Monitor inventory control KPIs such as: cycle count accuracy adjustment rates inventory variance
  • Identify and implement process improvements to reduce errors and improve efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and warehouse procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
