About The Position

An Inventory Control Coordinator at Pacific Seafood is a key role on our Procurement team supporting efforts to maintain and optimize inventory control of all stock items. This position involves maintaining inventory levels and correcting any errors and is ideal for someone who has analytical skills, organizational skills, and is detail orientated.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One or more years of relevant experience
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university
  • Advanced Mathematics
  • Forklift Certified

Responsibilities

  • Establish and refine controls and procedures to ensure effective inventory management.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies to determine root causes and implement corrective measures.
  • Ensure compliance with product quality standards and proper inventory rotation practices.
  • Assist in maintaining QA records and conducting morning QC/Push List checks.
  • Attend morning inventory meetings and facilitate the distribution of daily fresh inventory sheets.
  • Collaborate with sales, production supervisors, and purchasing to set appropriate inventory par levels.
  • Interface with vendors, production facilities, and customers to streamline data exchange.
  • Manage documentation related to vendor returns, product transfers, and purchase orders.
  • Create and manage spreadsheets and databases, and generate reports as needed.
  • Aid in inputting fillet picks accurately into the system and processing customer/vendor credits promptly.
  • Handle outside storage transfers and ensure proper reconciliation.
  • Contribute to the Shrink/Credit Team, focusing on reducing shrinkage and tracking against budget goals.
  • Perform regular cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Collaborate with buyers to resolve vendor credit issues and ensure smooth operations.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary to support the overall goals and objectives of the position.
