The Inventory Control Coordinator at Illinois Masonic Medical Center (IMMC) is a full-time, 1st shift position, working Monday-Friday from 5:30 am to 2 pm. This role is crucial for developing and maintaining cost-effective inventory management and monitoring programs to maximize usage and minimize expenses. The coordinator will establish follow-up programs to ensure supply systems meet needs, coordinate appropriate inventory levels across various sites, and serve as the primary contact for inter-facility inventory transfers. Key responsibilities also include resolving procurement issues such as vendor disputes, invoice discrepancies, emergency order processing, and handling damaged products. The position involves reviewing and recommending improvements to inventory data, identifying product standardization and cost-saving opportunities, and providing analytical data to support these recommendations. Additionally, the coordinator will maintain product catalogs, track inventory age, collaborate with Corporate Purchasing on requisitions and vendor deliveries, produce usage and cost reports, coordinate product conversions, and manage vendor relationships, including verifying credits and ensuring contract accuracy in computer systems.
