Requirements

  • 2 or more years of experience in inventory control.
  • Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory methods and systems.
  • Ability to develop and maintain inventory control systems, along with the ability to analyze inventory data and recommend necessary changes and improvements.
  • Relies on some instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
  • Effectively communicate and work in a team environment (50% shop floor, 50% office).
  • Accurately read and comprehend bill of materials, routings and drawings.
  • Knowledge of and ability to compute basic arithmetic skills such as, or comparable to: add, subtract, multiply, and divide fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to use a computer with clear instructions and procedures.
  • Knowledge and ability to solve problems that may be frequent but easy to recognize.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient in excel is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Use our ERP system, Oracle, to accurately transact inventory movements.
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure sufficient on-hand quantities.
  • Review Bill of Materials to determine inventory discrepancies.
  • Co-own the monthly cycle count program.
  • Review and fix negative inventory daily.
  • Monitor material rejects and disposition in timely manner.
  • Track and review inventory discrepancies.
  • Manage service part orders.
  • Own the SMI (Slow Moving Inventory) report.
  • Own the scrap processes.
  • Review and manage material substitutes - adjust production order BOM's accordingly.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace in accordance with Marathon policies, 5S procedures, and in line with Marathon core values.
  • Other duties as assigned.
