About The Position

The Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing, processing, and optimizing inventory. Key duties include accurately picking materials and presenting them efficiently to the Manufacturing team. This role requires a thorough understanding of warehouse transaction processes, cycle counting procedures, and stock rotation. Additionally, the position involves operating various types of machinery as specified below. Diversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Requirements

  • Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role in manufacturing is essential.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software, such as warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite is also beneficial.
  • Ability to operate machinery such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Must be able to lift and move heavy materials as needed.
  • Ability to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies and implement improvements in inventory processes.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate inventory tracking and reporting.
  • Ability to operate machinery such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Must be able to lift and move heavy materials as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels, ensuring materials are available for production.
  • Safely and efficiently move materials to and from storage areas, production lines, and shipping docks.
  • Perform regular cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Implement and manage stock rotation procedures to minimize obsolescence and waste.
