Picture your day starting at the inventory console: you review stock levels in the tracking program, check the status of open purchase orders, and flag anything running low. You’ll timestamp repair parts as they arrive, put stock away, pull the right components, and hand-deliver parts to technicians so repairs keep moving. As the day unfolds, you’ll process requisitions, receive purchase orders, stock items, and expedite late materials. You’ll watch spend closely—working with managers and supervisors to stay within departmental budgets—while proposing smarter reorder points and stock levels based on your analysis of inventory records. You will also maintain a cross‑reference system for optimal usage and keep nonconforming parts tracked and updated. You’ll help troubleshoot inventory discrepancies, support semi‑annual physical inventory, and partner with Accounting and auditors to verify accuracy. Beyond the four walls, you’ll source and evaluate vendors who can provide plant‑level services and relentlessly follow up on past‑due orders, taking actions that reduce POE and invoice grief. You’ll establish and maintain an aggressive cost‑reduction program and report outcomes to department leadership. Collaboration is key: you’ll assist Customer Service agents and Operations with system parts transactions and file warranty claims with OEMs to replace defective parts. You’ll contribute to our Service/Quality Initiative by continuously improving processes, monitoring metrics, completing required quality core classes, applying the skills you learn, living our Core Values, and following company and customer safety procedures at all times.
